ISLAMABAD, November 6, 2026: Spotify has selected Karachi-based Urdu hip-hop artist Shareh as its RADAR Pakistan artist for the fourth quarter of 2026, recognising his growing influence in the country’s hip-hop scene and expanding international audience.

Known for blending rap, R&B, trap and alternative music, Shareh has developed a distinctive sound through songs exploring love, heartbreak, ambition and personal identity.

According to Spotify, the artist has gained listeners beyond Pakistan, with the United States, United Kingdom, Bangladesh, Canada and United Arab Emirates among his leading streaming markets.

Younger audiences account for a significant share of his listenership, with people aged 18 to 24 representing 55% of his Spotify audience.

His music has also been added to user-generated playlists more than 220,000 times over the past 12 months, reflecting growing engagement with his releases.

Shareh’s collaborations and musical journey

Shareh has collaborated with several prominent Pakistani musicians, including Talha Anjum, Talhah Yunus, Jokhay, Umair and Hasan Raheem.

His contributions to projects such as Khana Badosh and ROCKSTAR WITHOUT A GUITAR have helped establish his presence within Pakistan’s contemporary hip-hop landscape.

More recently, he appeared on WAY 2 BLESSED, a track from Jokhay and Umair’s collaborative album DESIGNERR, alongside British rapper Keeya Keys and Pakistani artist JJ47.

The collaboration brought together Pakistani and British rap influences, demonstrating Shareh’s ability to work across musical styles and international markets.

Despite his growing international exposure, Shareh’s music remains closely connected to his Karachi roots.

His project Gulshan Tapes, released gradually through individual tracks, features songs written during different periods of his life in Gulshan, the Karachi neighbourhood where he grew up and continues to reside.

The collection reflects his personal experiences and evolving musical identity.

Another project, THE DREAM, draws inspiration from a family memory involving his grandfather, who mistakenly read the words “Share the Dream” on a billboard as “Shareh the Dream.”

The moment later became a personal symbol of the artist’s ambitions and musical journey.

New album WAKE UP CALL marks next chapter

Shareh’s latest album, WAKE UP CALL, is scheduled for release on November 6, following his earlier projects INSOMNIA and THE DREAM.

The album explores the emotional experiences that accompany achieving long-held ambitions, moving beyond the themes of uncertainty and aspiration featured in his previous work.

Combining dark R&B, hip-hop, trap, dream pop and contemporary South Asian influences, the project addresses relationships, identity, heartbreak and personal growth.

As part of the RADAR Pakistan programme, Spotify has also featured Shareh in an exclusive mini-docuseries exploring his creative development and the personal experiences behind his music.

Speaking about the recognition, Shareh said joining RADAR had been a longstanding ambition.

“Being part of Spotify’s RADAR was something I always wanted to do,” he said, adding that the experience had allowed audiences to discover aspects of his life beyond his music.

Spotify highlights emerging Pakistani talent

Rutaba Yaqub, Spotify’s Artist and Label Partnerships Manager for Pakistan and the UAE, described Shareh as part of a generation of musicians expanding the boundaries of Pakistani hip-hop.

She said his ability to experiment with different genres while maintaining his artistic identity, alongside his growing international following, made him a strong choice for RADAR Pakistan.

Spotify’s RADAR initiative supports emerging artists by increasing their visibility and helping them connect with wider audiences.

Shareh joins previous RADAR Pakistan artists, including Murtaza Qizilbash and HAVI, as the platform continues to promote emerging talent from the country’s music industry.
