ISLAMABAD: Spotify has selected Pakistani singer and songwriter HAVI as its RADAR Pakistan artist for the third quarter of 2026, placing the emerging musician among the platform’s latest acts receiving editorial and promotional support.
HAVI, whose real name is Abdur Rahman Sajid, has gained attention for emotionally driven songs that combine personal storytelling with themes intended to connect with wider audiences.
According to Spotify, HAVI’s listenership increased by more than 335% over the past year, while streams of tracks including Andaz E Karam, Na Milay and Farz rose by over 200% during the same period.
His music has also been added to more than 200,000 user-generated playlists, a sign of growing listener engagement on the platform.
Spotify said HAVI’s audience now extends well beyond Pakistan, with Bangladesh, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United Arab Emirates among his biggest streaming markets.
As part of the RADAR Pakistan programme, Spotify will feature HAVI in a mini-documentary series focusing on his creative journey, musical influences and the experiences behind his work.
Rutaba Yaqub, Spotify’s Artist and Label Partnerships Manager for Pakistan and the UAE, said HAVI’s recent growth reflected the connection he had built with listeners through personal and relatable storytelling.
“HAVI has a remarkable ability to turn deeply personal emotions into music that resonates with listeners,” she said, adding that Spotify would support the next stage of his career through the RADAR programme.
Reacting to the selection, HAVI said each song represented “an invitation into a different world” and that the programme would help his music reach a wider audience.
Spotify’s global RADAR initiative is designed to support emerging artists through playlist placement, editorial promotion, original content and increased visibility across the platform.
The selection adds HAVI to a growing list of Pakistani musicians using streaming platforms to build audiences at home and internationally.
