The Rawalpindi Horticulture Agency has installed special lights at Rawal Park to improve safety, visibility and the overall recreational experience for visitors at night.
The lighting system was installed on the directions of PHA Managing Director Ahmed Hassan Ranjha. Officials said the project is aimed at making the park more accessible and attractive for families, senior citizens and young visitors during evening hours.

The new lights have been installed across key areas of Rawal Park, including entrances, exits, walking tracks, green spaces and public-use areas. The upgraded lighting has also enhanced the park’s nighttime appearance.
According to the PHA, additional efforts are under way to improve cleanliness, horticulture, security and other public facilities inside the park.
Citizens have welcomed the lighting project, calling it a positive step for public recreation in Rawalpindi. The park’s illuminated nighttime view has also attracted more visitors, especially families.
The Rawalpindi Horticulture Agency said it is continuing improvement work in parks and green belts across the city as part of its efforts to make Rawalpindi greener, cleaner and more visitor-friendly.
The agency said such projects are intended to provide residents with healthy outdoor spaces and better recreational facilities.
