Soneri Bank Opens Islamic Branch in Talaash, Lower Dir

LOWER DIR: Soneri Bank has opened an Islamic banking branch in the main market of Kalpani Ziarat Talaash in Lower Dir, aiming to expand access to banking services for residents and businesses in the Talaash Valley.

Bank officials and local elders jointly inaugurated the new Soneri Bank Islamic Branch at a ceremony attended by representatives of the business community, religious figures and residents of the area.

Bank outlines services and priorities

Akhtar Rasool Khan, Regional Head of Soneri Bank KPK-2, was the chief guest at the inauguration. Zubair Shah, Area Manager, along with Atta-ur-Rehman, Operations Manager of the Talaash Branch, and Ihtiram Khan, Relations Officer, also addressed the gathering.

The bank representatives briefed participants about the branch’s objectives, services, facilities and priorities, with a focus on providing accessible banking services to people in the area in accordance with Islamic banking principles.

Local community welcomes new branch

Dr Noor Muhammad, President of Anjuman Tahaffuz Tajran Talaash Bazaar, Retired Principal Aftab Alam Khan, Qazi Ayazuddin, Principal Mishal Khan, Haji Sher Muhammad, Maulana Javed Iqbal, Noor Ahmed Jan, Khaliq-ur-Rehman and Malik Barkat Khan were among those who welcomed the establishment of the branch.

They described the new branch as a positive development for Talaash, saying improved access to banking services could provide greater convenience to residents and contribute to economic activity in the valley.

Bank officials said they would work to provide quality services to customers at their doorstep while adhering to Islamic banking principles.
