SWAT: The monthly Ijtima-e- arkan organized by Jamaat-e-Islami District Swat was held on Saturday at the Al-Markaz-e-Islami Sangota in Swat District.
The chief guest of the meeting was former Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Siraj-ul-Haq, while Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District Swat Hameed-ul-Haq, and other leaders Dr. Fazal Subhan, Dr. Khalid Farooq, Akhtar Ali Khan, Habibullah Saqib and Haider Ali were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the meeting, former Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Siraj-ul-Haq said that Pakistan is currently in chaos and the market for insecurity, target killing, extortion, murder and lawlessness is hot in the country, added thats street crimes are continuously increasing and the people are worried about inflation, but even in this disturbing situation, the central and provincial governments are engaged in a tug-of-war for their power, he said.
He said that there is no such thing as a government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan as well, adding that in Bajaur, no one can leave their homes after 9:00 pm.
“Hundreds of people have been martyred in Kurram and hundreds are seriously injured, adding that despite these conditions, transportation routes are blocked and people’s lives have become difficult, he further said..
Mr. Siraj said that the people of the southern districts are in the clutches of armed groups, but the provincial government has absolved itself of its responsibilities and is using all its resources to release the founding chairman, while the second volume of PDM is running in Islamabad and other provinces.
He further said that in such a situation of darkness and despair, Jamaat-e-Islami is the last ray of hope, and appeals to the people that they should rise up against the 2% elite who are becoming gangsters and are violating the basic rights of the people.
“The people should gather under the banner of Jamaat-e-Islami to get rid of these gangsters, ” he said, adding that Jamaat-e-Islami will come to power with the support of the people and will make Pakistan an Islamic welfare and developed state, he concluded.
