Former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik has rejected circulating social media claims about a supposed fourth marriage, calling the reports baseless and warning that legal action could be taken against those spreading misinformation.

In a statement shared on his Instagram account, Malik said unverified stories about his personal life were being circulated online without his consent, prompting him to publicly address the rumours.

The cricketer said the claims had linked him to a social media influencer and falsely suggested he had remarried. Malik described the allegations as fabricated and said they were causing distress to people close to him.

Malik said the spread of such claims had also affected his family, particularly his young son Izhaan Mirza Malik, who is now old enough to read the stories circulating online.

“I’ve always sought to keep my private life private, out of respect for my family. However, my silence seems to have been taken for granted,” Malik wrote in his statement.

He also expressed concern about negative comments directed toward his wife Sana Javed by online users, saying she had been unfairly targeted over allegations he described as false.

Malik said attempts had been made to damage his reputation by linking him with individuals he had never met and suggested that such stories were often circulated to gain online views.

“As a public figure, I understand scrutiny comes with the support, but there’s a limit. Invading privacy or damaging reputations crosses that line,” he said.

The former captain urged the public and social media users to avoid sharing unverified information about his personal life or about others.
