Political workers and leaders are the backbone of any party. These ideological and committed workers are the ones who drive the wheel of politics and political processes. With strong determination, they work for the welfare and development of their nation and society with noble intentions.
Behind every successful organization are devoted and sincere political workers and leaders who spend the prime years of their lives enduring poverty, hardship, and struggles. Yet, their political affiliation, resolve, and steadfastness are never weakened by the temptations, threats, or privileges offered by higher powers. Political workers have no personal desires; they are always motivated by a spirit of sacrifice for their party and their nation.
Today, I want to write about such a person, Sheikh Ejaz Arshad. He is among the founding members of Overseas Jamaat-e-Islami. In Saudi Arabia, he not only served the Pakistani community but also played a significant role in organizing the party.
He continued his political struggle abroad with dedication and became a member of Jamaat-e-Islami. Upon returning to Pakistan, he was appointed as the spokesperson of Jamaat-e-Islami Tehsil Timergara, a decision that proved to be an excellent one. He effectively made every activity of Jamaat-e-Islami in District Dir and Tehsil Timergara prominent in the media.
Not only this, but he also played a crucial role in modernizing Al-Khidmat Foundation Timergara and Jamaat-e-Islami Youth Tehsil Timergara according to contemporary aspirations. Sheikh Ejaz Arshad has been serving as the Secretary of Information for Jamaat-e-Islami Tehsil Timergara for the past two years. Additionally, he is the acting district president of Overseas Jamaat-e-Islami. The residents of Lower Dir testify that Al-Khidmat Foundation Timergara and Jamaat-e-Islami Youth Tehsil Timergara have a distinguished and active standing in the district and even the entire province.
Overseas Pakistanis face severe challenges. They are the benefactors of Pakistan, as they are the driving force behind the economy. The government must resolve their issues. Whenever the country faced tough times, overseas Pakistanis have extended immense support. They are our most significant asset, and measures must be taken to facilitate them.
Currently, the issue of passports is critical, and we strongly urge the government to address this matter. In Pakistan, fraud and deception were already common practices, but now they seem to have become professions. Just as fraudsters and scammers dominate Pakistan, they have also started new fraudulent practices abroad. For instance, issuing Umrah visas and later abandoning people in foreign countries, bank account scams, online scams—Pakistanis have advanced so much in these practices that no one can compete with them.
Gradually, they are jeopardizing the livelihoods of their compatriots abroad, creating difficulties through illegal means, and even causing visa bans in various countries. Pakistanis are at the forefront of such activities.
As times change, awareness has also increased. However, Pakistanis now rank first globally in creating chaos and engaging in abusive behaviors. Their actions abroad, especially on social media platforms like TikTok, are shameful.
We request overseas Pakistanis to refrain from such behaviors while living abroad. These inappropriate actions tarnish the reputation of our beloved country, Pakistan, and create difficulties for others.
