Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s film King has entered its final phase of production, with only one overseas shooting schedule remaining before filming is completed, according to Indian media reports.
The final international shoot is expected to begin in August 2026, after which the film will move into post-production. The action thriller is one of Bollywood’s most anticipated releases and will also mark Suhana Khan’s first theatrical film alongside her father.
Final Overseas Shoot Planned
According to media reports, the production team is currently finalizing locations for the last international schedule.
While no destination has been officially confirmed, reports indicate that the filmmakers are considering locations in the United States and several South American countries. A production team is already in the US to assess potential filming sites before visiting South America to select the final location.
Team Seeks Unique Action Sequence Location
The report states that most of the film has already been completed, with the remaining schedule focused on a major action sequence.
Director Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan are reportedly looking for a visually distinctive location that has not been widely featured in previous films, aiming to give the action scenes a fresh cinematic backdrop.
Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan to Share Screen
A key highlight of King is the first on-screen collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter, Suhana Khan, in a theatrical release.
The film is directed by Siddharth Anand and is being produced as a large-scale action thriller. It is currently scheduled for release in cinemas on December 24, 2026.
The producers have not yet made an official announcement regarding the final overseas shoot, but reports suggest it will conclude principal photography before the project enters post-production.
