SGTH Medical Superintendent Prof. Dr. Naeemullah discusses hospital improvements

SWAT: Saidu Group of Teaching Hospital (SGTH) Medical Superintendent Prof. Dr. Naeemullah said that more than 4000 patients are examined on a daily basis in STGH,out of which an average of 1700 patients come only in the casualty unit.
He expressed these views while talking to Swat Press Club President Niaz Ahmed Khan, Swat Union of Journalists President Syed Shahabuddin and senior journalist Saleem Athar in his office here on Wednesday.
Senior lawyers Shaukat Saleem and Sajjad Baghi were also present on the occasion.
MS Prof. Dr. Naeemullah said that he has accepted the MS seat as a challenge and my first priority is to ensure the provision of all facilities in the hospital’s casualty unit, ICU and labor room as well.
He said that the patients have been experiencing difficulties due to the malfunctioning of the MRI machine in the hospital for many years and in this regard, we are writing to the higher authorities of the government, but we are also trying to install a modern machine soon under public-private partnership so that the problems faced by the people can be reduced.
Dr Naeem said that work is also underway on the Cath Lab and very soon more staff will be deployed in it so that timely and immediate treatment of heart patients can be provided 24 hours a day.
Dr. Naeem said that work is underway on an emergency basis to provide all basic facilities and to address the shortage of staff in the hospital and to take care of medical equipment and cleanliness.
