Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N), former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and former Senator Pir Sabir Shah, while commenting on current global affairs and Pakistan’s successful foreign policy, stated that Pakistan is currently passing through one of the most balanced and strategically sound phases in its diplomatic history. He said that Pakistan’s role on the international stage is not only being acknowledged but also that global powers are keen to further strengthen their ties with the country. Pir Sabir Shah expressed these views while addressing party workers at the Muslim League House in Ghazi the previous day. He said that Pakistan’s relations with major global and regional powers—including the United States, Russia, China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, and others—have significantly improved to an exemplary level.
He added that the current government has adopted a balanced, dignified, and pragmatic foreign policy that has fostered diplomatic engagements highly beneficial to national security, economic stability, and regional harmony. Highlighting key developments, Pir Sabir Shah pointed to the ongoing economic cooperation with China, the revival of a working relationship with the United States, progress in the energy sector with Russia, and strategic partnerships with the Arab world as clear evidence that Pakistan has emerged as a responsible and effective state in the realm of international diplomacy. He emphasized the need to leverage these diplomatic achievements for the broader national interest and to prioritize internal stability so that Pakistan continues on the path of development as a strong, dignified, and sovereign nation. He also underscored the importance of raising awareness among the younger generation regarding issues of national sovereignty and prestige, stating that it is imperative to ensure that Pakistan’s diplomatic identity is built on solid foundations for future generations.
