BAHAWALPUR: Khawaja Farid Society of Bahawalpur Islamic University organized a seminar on Khawaja Farid’s words on philanthropy.
The seminar was chaired by the Chairman of the Department of Nursing and Advisor of IUB Khawaja Farid Society Dr. Mumtaz Khan Baloch.
He said Khawaja Ghulam Farid was a universal poet who taught respect, humanity and love in his life and words.
Khawaja Ghulam Farid united man with God. He said that this seminar was the first drop of rain and similar events would be held in future.
Addressing the seminar, Special Guest of the Ceremony and Head of Department Saraiki SE College Bahawalpur Dr. Asmatullah Shah said that the life of Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Farid is full of such events where he transcended religion, creed and caste.
In the poetry of Khwaja Ghulam Farid we find feelings like love for humanity, reform, fear of God and love for each other. Dr. Riaz Hussain Sindhar, Assistant Professor, Saraiki Department, said that where Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Farid saw God and man, the common man may not see.
Therefore, their main goal was love for man.
Saraiki Department and Advisor Culture Promotion Society Lecturer Athar Mehmood Lashari told the seminar that today’s young generation should learn from the teachings of Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Farid.
Associate Professor Urdu Department Dr. Ghulam Asghar Khan, Assistant Professor and Co-Advisor Khawaja Farid Society Dr. Shahid Nawaz, Gender Studies Lecturer Dr. Sabtain Yasir Gopang and Saraiki Department Lecturer Noreen Manzoor also attended the event.
