QUETTA: Security forces have killed one militant during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan as part of ongoing operations against what security sources described as Fitna al-Hindustan.
According to security sources, the operation was conducted near Mal Madrassa in Sohbatpur district after information was received about the presence of militants between Mal Madrassa and Batigo.
An exchange of fire took place during the operation, resulting in the death of one militant, while another managed to escape, the sources said.
Security forces also recovered weapons and a motorcycle from the slain militant.
The operation was carried out under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, which security forces say is continuing across Balochistan against militant elements.
Security sources said forces remain committed to maintaining peace and security in the province and eliminating terrorism.
