Rawalpindi: Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Bannu District following reports of Khwarij presence linked to Indian proxy group Fitna al Khwarij. Troops engaged the location, resulting in the killing of 22 militants after an exchange of fire.
Sanitization efforts underway
A sanitization operation is ongoing in the area to ensure no further Indian-sponsored Khwarij remain. Officials confirmed that the campaign is part of the broader counter-terrorism drive under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.
