Islamabad: A senior security official on Monday conducted a detailed briefing for YouTubers and vloggers, outlining Pakistan’s national security perspective on key national, regional and international developments, officials said.

Participants were given an overview of the prevailing security environment, emerging challenges and Pakistan’s policy priorities. The official also responded to questions raised by attendees, who later appreciated the clarity and depth of the session.

According to security sources, the briefing underscored that Pakistan will safeguard its national interests under all circumstances and that all major decisions are taken with the welfare of the country and its people as the central consideration.

The official reaffirmed that no one can create a rift between the armed forces and the nation, describing the relationship as “deep and resilient”. Security sources said all political parties and leadership are respected, provided personal politics is not placed above national interest.

The briefing also stressed the importance of positive engagement to counter speculation and promote facts, with the official noting that there should be no room to question anyone’s patriotism. The media, it was added, has a critical role in guiding youth in a positive direction.

Pakistan’s stance on Gaza, Palestine reiterated

On the Palestine issue, security sources said Pakistan will never act against the aspirations of the Palestinian people and remains steadfast in its principled position. The immediate priority for Pakistan and other Muslim countries, the briefing noted, is to halt the bloodshed in Gaza.

Security sources clarified that no decision has been made regarding the formation, mandate or deployment of any force, adding that the “Peace Board” is intended for Gaza’s reconstruction and rehabilitation. Any deployment of forces, they said, is the prerogative of Parliament and the government.

Pakistan will not be a party to the disarmament of Hamas, which was described as a red line, while stressing that the objectives of the Board of Peace and an International Stabilization Force are distinct. The briefing further noted that Pakistan’s decision to join the Gaza Peace Board was taken after consultations and deliberations with eight major Islamic countries.

The official also maintained that only the United States can restrain Israel and that the bloodshed in Gaza can only be stopped through political processes and dialogue.

Foreign policy, China ties, India-Afghanistan nexus

The briefing highlighted Pakistan’s consistent pursuit of a multilateral foreign policy approach. Security sources said Pakistan-China relations remain strong and continue to deepen while safeguarding mutual interests.

Pakistan’s position on Afghanistan and India was termed “unequivocally clear”, with security sources alleging that their nexus has contributed to a rise in terrorism inside Pakistan.

Reiterating support for Kashmiris, the briefing stated Pakistan will continue efforts to secure the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and resolve the dispute in line with UN resolutions. “Kashmir will become Pakistan” was described as a national resolve.

Counter-terrorism, NAP implementation and Balochistan

Security sources said the National Action Plan (NAP) is a consensus document endorsed by all political parties and that its full implementation by all stakeholders is essential to eliminate terrorism.

The briefing acknowledged round-the-clock sacrifices by the Pakistan Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism, stressing that complete success requires unified action and sincere intent.

On Balochistan, the briefing said improved security has resulted from NAP implementation, better governance, job creation, devolution of powers to the grassroots level and strengthened institutional capacity.

Security sources also said that following Pakistan’s response to aggression from Afghanistan, a decline in cross-border terrorist incidents has been observed.

Governance, democracy and provincial briefings

Regarding “Marka-e-Haq,” security sources said all decisions were taken by the government under the Prime Minister’s leadership, while the armed forces provided professional advice. They added that Pakistan’s politicians and diplomats demonstrated effective diplomacy after the episode.

The briefing also stated that Pakistan will progress through democracy, and that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir believes in the promotion of democratic values.

Security sources said any provincial government seeking a security briefing should approach the federation, reiterating that terrorism cannot be allowed under the guise of politics, business interests or religion.
