The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has initiated the second trial of blocking illegal VPNs through a firewall.
During the two-day trial, a simulation of blocking unregistered VPNs will be conducted. Starting December 1, the formal process of blocking unregistered VPNs will begin.
According to PTA sources, this trial will last for two days, focusing on the practice of disabling unregistered VPNs.
It is noteworthy that PTA had previously set a deadline of November 30 for VPN registration. From December 1, the blocking of unregistered VPNs will officially commence. Over 25,000 VPNs have already been registered.
The first trial of blocking Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) was conducted by PTA a few days ago.
What is a VPN?
A VPN (Virtual Private Network) helps establish a secure network connection while using public networks. It encrypts your internet traffic and conceals your online identity. In simple terms, using a VPN makes it significantly harder for third parties to track your online activities or steal your data.
