Riyadh: Ahead of the opening of the Future Minerals Forum 2026, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, visited the Pakistan Pavilion in Riyadh and described it as one of the most visually striking exhibits at the event.
The visit took place before the official launch of the Future Minerals Forum, which brings together government officials, investors, and industry leaders from around the world. Accompanied by Vice Minister for Mining Affairs Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer, the minister noted a clear improvement in Pakistan’s presence compared to previous editions and highlighted the pavilion’s role in presenting the country’s mineral potential to a global audience.
Investor interest in Pakistan’s mining sector
The Pakistan Pavilion, themed “The Mineral Marvel,” has drawn early interest from international investors attending the forum. Officials involved in the exhibition said the pavilion is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of Pakistan’s mineral resources and investment opportunities.
The pavilion has been organized by Pakistan Petroleum Limited as the lead partner, representing the Ministry of Energy. It features interactive displays and introduces the National Minerals Data Center, a digital platform aimed at improving access to geological data and supporting transparent mineral governance.
Focus on data-driven mining governance
According to organizers, the National Minerals Data Center is intended to help modernize Pakistan’s mining sector by offering centralized information to policymakers and investors. The initiative aligns with broader efforts to attract foreign investment and promote responsible development of the country’s mineral resources.
The Future Minerals Forum 2026 is being held in Riyadh and is expected to host delegations from dozens of countries, reflecting growing global interest in minerals critical to industrial growth and energy transitions.
