Islamabad: Samar Haroon Bilour, Information Adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Consultative Council, has expressed concern over a message attributed to the banned Fitna al-Khawarij in support of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

In a statement, Bilour questioned why a proscribed militant organisation appeared so concerned over the end of the PTI government and the constitutional changes in the province that it was issuing statements against the development.

She said the reported reaction from the banned group was a matter of serious concern and warranted closer scrutiny.

Bilour further remarked that the situation created an impression that the organisation had been relatively comfortable during the previous provincial government’s tenure.

Her remarks came amid heightened political tensions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where recent changes in the provincial political setup have triggered strong reactions from PTI and other political stakeholders.

The message in question has been attributed to the banned group, while its authenticity has not been independently verified. The claim is therefore being reported as part of Bilour’s statement rather than as an established fact.
