MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has opened up about his decision to remain unmarried, saying that no one stopped him from getting married and that it was entirely his own choice.
According to reports by Indian media, the actor discussed the subject during the opening episode of Season 9 of Koffee with Karan.
Salman explained that he had held himself back from marriage and could not blame the world for his decision. He said it was a personal choice rather than the result of circumstances or opposition from others.
The actor also indicated that he might want to become a father in the future, suggesting that children could eventually become part of his life.
During the conversation, host Karan Johar spoke about sometimes feeling lonely without a partner and asked Salman whether he experienced similar feelings.
Salman disagreed with the idea that being without a romantic partner necessarily meant being lonely. He pointed out that Karan had children and his mother, describing him as fortunate.
The actor suggested that loneliness comes when nobody wants to be with a person, adding that he did not believe this applied to him.
His comments have once again drawn attention to his long-standing decision not to marry and his thoughts about family and fatherhood.
