Bollywood actor Salman Khan has appealed to education activist Sonam Wangchuk to end his hunger strike and urged students protesting over the alleged NEET examination paper leak to return home, saying their education and safety should remain the top priority.
The actor shared the message on Instagram as demonstrations over alleged irregularities in India’s examination system continue in several parts of the country. Protesters are demanding greater transparency, accountability and action against those responsible for the alleged paper leak.
Salman Khan appeals to students
In his statement, Salman Khan said students should not continue to worry themselves or their families.
He added that the Prime Minister had already addressed the issue publicly and expressed confidence that those responsible for any wrongdoing would face action. He urged students to return to their homes and allow the matter to be addressed through official channels.
Message to Sonam Wangchuk
Salman Khan also addressed Sonam Wangchuk directly, asking him to end his hunger strike.
The actor said the activist had already made his point and encouraged him to take care of his health. He added that if future protests became necessary, there would be opportunities to continue the campaign.
In a lighter remark, Salman Khan offered to send food from his home if Wangchuk agreed to break his fast.

The appeal marks Salman Khan’s second public statement on the issue within 24 hours.
