Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has provided an update on opener Saim Ayub’s injury, confirming that he will be sidelined for 10 weeks.
Saim sustained an ankle injury during the second Test against South Africa on January 3 and was sent to London for treatment.
According to PCB, medical reports, MRI scans, and X-rays confirmed the severity of the injury, leading doctors to recommend a 10-week recovery period.
His participation in Pakistan’s upcoming tour of New Zealand will depend on his fitness. Meanwhile, he will continue his rehabilitation in England and is reportedly feeling better.
Pakistan and New Zealand are set to play a white-ball series from March 16 to April 5.
