LAHORE: Sahibzada Farhan scored an unbeaten century to guide Multan Sultans to a successful chase against Hyderabad Kingsmen in the Pakistan Super League, matching Virat Kohli’s tally of nine T20 centuries. The knock came at Gaddafi Stadium, where Farhan’s innings turned a high-scoring match into a controlled chase.
Chasing a target of 226, Multan Sultans reached the total with Farhan anchoring the innings with 106 not out off 57 balls. His performance narrowed the gap to Babar Azam’s record of 11 T20 centuries, placing him among the leading century-makers in the format.

Multan’s bowling unit had limited success, with Mohammad Wasim Jr taking two wickets. Despite occasional breakthroughs, Kingsmen maintained a strong scoring rate throughout the innings.
Farhan leads controlled chase
Multan’s reply began with a steady foundation as Steve Smith scored 46 and Shan Masood added 29. The chase gained momentum once Farhan settled, with the required run rate gradually decreasing.
Farhan struck eight sixes and seven fours, focusing on placement and timing rather than aggressive hitting. His innings ensured the target remained within reach despite the high total.
A late contribution from Arafat Minhas, who scored an unbeaten 26 off 11 balls, helped Multan complete the chase.
For Kingsmen, Saim Ayub picked up two wickets but conceded runs, as the bowling attack struggled to contain the scoring once momentum shifted.
Farhan joins leading T20 century-makers
With this century, Farhan moved to nine T20 hundreds, equalling Kohli and placing himself alongside other leading players in the format. The list is headed by Chris Gayle with 22 centuries, followed by Babar Azam (11) and David Warner with 10.
