BISP chairperson Rubina Khalid urges support for vulnerable families in Eid message

RAWALPINDI — Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, has called on citizens to include underprivileged families in Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, describing it as a shared national responsibility.

In her Eid message, she said the occasion carries a message of happiness, compassion and unity, urging society to extend support to those in need. She emphasized that helping vulnerable segments remains a key priority, particularly during festive occasions.

Senator Khalid noted that BISP continues to provide assistance to millions of deserving families across the country, aiming to improve their living conditions and promote social welfare.

She said Eid serves as a reminder of values such as sacrifice, empathy and brotherhood, and encouraged collective efforts to build a more inclusive and equitable society.\
