Rubina Khalid condemns Quetta-Chaman railway crossing suicide blast

ISLAMABAD: Benazir Income Support Programme Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid has strongly condemned the Quetta-Chaman railway crossing suicide blast, calling the attack on innocent civilians an inhuman and cowardly act.

In a statement, Senator Khalid expressed deep grief over the loss of 30 lives in the attack and said the entire nation stood with the affected families in this difficult time. She prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and for patience for their families.

She also prayed for the early recovery of the injured and said anti-peace elements wanted to spread fear and damage national unity through such attacks.

Senator Khalid said the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain, adding that Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorism had become stronger. She said cowardly attacks could not weaken the courage of the Pakistani people.

She added that the government and state institutions stood with the victims’ families and remained committed to supporting them.
