RPO Bahawalpur Vows Continued Operations in Kacha Areas, Launches Saiban Initiative

BAHAWALPUR, Jan 13 — Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bahawalpur Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin (PPM) has said that operations against criminal elements in the Kacha areas are being carried out without discrimination and will continue until law and order is fully restored.

Speaking with senior journalists, he emphasized that citizens’ complaints are being addressed promptly, with timely registration of FIRs for incidents reported through the 15 emergency hotline and other channels to ensure immediate justice and legal assistance.

RPO Salahuddin announced the launch of the “Saiban” initiative across Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Bahawalnagar districts. The project aims to strengthen ties between the police and the public by providing transparent and accessible services. Under the program, police service centers and shelter offices are being established to facilitate citizens in filing complaints and handling legal matters more efficiently.

He further stated that traffic signals in Bahawalpur city will soon be activated, a step expected to significantly improve traffic management and reduce congestion.

Highlighting the role of media, Salahuddin underscored the importance of collaboration between journalists and police in maintaining peace and stability. He noted that responsible reporting, combined with effective policing, is vital for building public trust and ensuring social safety.
