BAHAWALPUR: A joint operation by Punjab and Sindh police is underway in the Machhka, Kacha Rajwani and Ronti riverine areas against criminal elements, with police having completely surrounded the Kacha Rajwani area.
More than 1,700 police personnel are participating in the operation. For surveillance and effective action, eight drone teams, six bulletproof mobiles, and three APCs have been deployed.

RPO Bahawalpur Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin visited the Kacha police camp and reviewed the ongoing operation against criminal elements in the riverine areas. During the visit, DPO Rahim Yar Khan Irfan Ali Samo briefed him that the police forces of Rahim Yar Khan, Ghotki, and Rajanpur are fully active and conducting the joint operation in coordination.
RPO Bahawalpur instructed that operations against criminal elements should be further intensified and warned that any violation of the law will not be tolerated. He said the operation will continue until the writ of the government is established in the riverine areas. He clarified that criminals who surrender and abandon the path of crime will not be confronted, but a warning has been issued to the dacoits to surrender and hand over their weapons to the police.
