Portugal football star Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodríguez became the subject of a social media frenzy after rumors spread that the couple were getting married in Madeira.
According to the viral claims, Ronaldo and Georgina were reportedly set to marry at Funchal Cathedral in Madeira, prompting thousands of fans to gather outside the venue in hopes of seeing the football superstar’s wedding.

The reports, however, turned out to be false. Ronaldo and Georgina were not getting married at the cathedral. Instead, another couple was holding their wedding ceremony at the venue.
The mix-up quickly spread online, with fans initially believing they had gathered to witness Ronaldo and Georgina’s long-awaited wedding.
Ronaldo Reacts to the Rumors
Ronaldo himself appeared to find the situation amusing. After the false wedding reports circulated, the footballer responded to an Instagram post about the incident with laughing emojis.
The reaction added another twist to the viral episode and confirmed that the wedding rumors surrounding the couple were unfounded.
