Roasted Laddus prepared via Rice Flour

Roasted Laddus is special traditional sweet served during winter. This is liked in winter most because the fruity-flavoured sweet keeps the body warm. The ingredients required and process of preparing the sweet is described as under.

Rice flour                       1 Kg

Jaggery                          ½ Kg

Water                            1.5 Cup

Ghee                             ½ Cup

Peanuts & pistachios     100 grams

Coconut                       100 grams

Sesame seeds               50 grams

Fennel                          2 tablespoons

Raisins                         2 tablespoons

Preparing Method:

Mix the peanuts, coconuts pieces, fennel, sesame seeds and raisins and keep them aside.

Take a vessel and roast the rice flour

Take water in a pan, add jaggery and cook thick it thickens. Now add ghee and switch off the stove.

Now add this jaggery syrup and nuts to the rice flour and mix it well immediately with a spoon. Do not mix it with your hands as it is very hot.

When it is hot, make laddus and let them dry completely.

When they are dry and hard, they are ready to eat.
