Rawalpindi (Imtisal Bukhari): A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Kinza Murtaza, to discuss and implement two major proposals aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency in urban development and property management processes through a new digital property transfer system.
The meeting focused on the following key initiatives: Proposal for transfer of units in RDA-approved multi-storey projects, including condominiums, residential apartments, commercial spaces, and mixed-use urban developments within RDA regular schemes. Proposal for endorsement and QR-coded allotment/transfer of plots in RDA-approved private housing societies, aimed at introducing digitized and secure documentation for property transfers under the newly proposed digital property transfer system.
DG RDA Kinza Murtaza emphasized the importance of these initiatives in streamlining procedures, curbing illegal practices, and enhancing public trust in the real estate sector. She directed the concerned directorates to begin immediate implementation of these proposals, which form the foundation of RDA’s broader digital property transfer system strategy.
The meeting was attended by Additional Director General Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Chief Planner Muhammad Tahir Meo, Director Administration and Finance Iftikhar Ali, Director Building Control Samiullah Niazi, Director Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Atif Ch, and other senior RDA officials.
These developments reflect RDA’s commitment to modernizing urban planning and ensuring greater transparency in real estate affairs across the Rawalpindi district. The integration of a digital property transfer system is expected to significantly reduce manual errors and improve service delivery for citizens and developers alike.
The DG RDA commended Deputy Director IT Dawood Khalid, Deputy Director Planning Ali Raza, Deputy Director Finance Muhammad Shoaib Khan, and Assistant Director Planning Mahwish Naseem for their exemplary performance and dedication.
