Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan has reclaimed the top position in the ICC T20 International bowling rankings, with Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed dropping to second place.
Abrar had moved to the No. 1 spot on September 23 after overtaking Rashid Khan. However, following the conclusion of the Asian Games in Japan, the Pakistan spinner slipped one place after taking just one wicket in two matches.
Rashid Khan now leads the rankings with 720 rating points, while Abrar Ahmed is close behind with 718 points, leaving only a two-point difference between the two bowlers.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz dropped four places to 12th, while Salman Mirza fell seven positions to 23rd.
India’s Axar Patel made significant progress, climbing 16 places to seventh. Bangladesh’s Nasum Ahmed moved into eighth, while Mehidy Hasan rose 10 places to ninth.
In the T20I batting rankings, India captain Shreyas Iyer entered the top 10 for the first time, climbing 18 places to seventh.
West Indies batter Sherfane Rutherford also improved, moving up 10 places to 37th in the latest rankings.
