LAHORE: Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan met a delegation of the Renala Khurd Bar Association on Tuesday to discuss challenges faced by the legal community, judicial infrastructure development and financial support for bar associations.
The meeting focused on issues related to legal professionals, administrative matters affecting bar associations and measures aimed at improving facilities within the judicial system.
The delegation included Bar President Rai Muhammad Iqbal, former president Mehr Muhammad Rafiq, General Secretary Rao Imran Majid and Advocate Rao Abid Ali.
During the meeting, the provincial law minister assured the delegation that issues faced by lawyers would be addressed on a priority basis. He said improving the judicial system and ensuring timely delivery of justice remained among the government’s key priorities.
Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan said the government was taking practical steps to resolve financial and administrative challenges faced by bar associations in order to facilitate the legal community and strengthen institutional support for lawyers.
He also highlighted the role of lawyers in the justice system, stating that the legal fraternity plays an important role in ensuring effective delivery of justice across the province.
Delegation invites law minister to oath-taking ceremony
The delegation invited the provincial law minister to attend the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of the bar association.
Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan accepted the invitation and assured the delegation of his participation in the event.
