Mirpur: Former assembly candidate from Bhimber, Raja Qaiser Sarwar, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to Bhuttoism and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). Speaking at a press conference at the Kashmir Press Club, he stated that he began his political journey with the PPP and remains loyal to the party.
Expressing his intent to contest the upcoming general elections, Raja Qaiser Sarwar declared himself a candidate for the PPP ticket. He warned against any attempts to grant the ticket to a newcomer, stating that if such a decision was made, he would contest as an independent candidate.
He emphasized his dedication to public service, stating that he has always strived to improve the system within his capacity. “I have reactivated my political engagement and will contest from LA-7 Bhimber on a PPP ticket,” he asserted.
Referring to Anwar-ul-Haq, he remarked that those who have been honored by the people must focus on resolving their issues. He reiterated that his political allegiance lies solely with the PPP and that he would never switch parties for personal gain.
Reflecting on his experiences in the UK, Raja Qaiser Sarwar noted that he had observed a well-functioning system there and aspired to implement similar principles for the betterment of the people in his constituency. He criticized local leaders for not prioritizing national development, blaming their negligence for the country’s persistent challenges.
Concluding his address, he reassured party supporters that his commitment to the PPP remained steadfast. However, he reiterated his stance that if an outsider were favored for the party ticket, he would enter the election as an independent candidate.
