Rain Turns Deadly: Two Teenage Brothers Killed in Lahore Motorcycle Crash

Two teenage brothers were killed in a Lahore motorcycle accident after their motorcycle reportedly skidded and crashed into a footpath during heavy rain near Gate No. 2 on the road from Center Park to Kasur, traffic police said.

The victims, identified as 18-year-old Hamza Arif and 16-year-old Hassan Arif, were travelling from Lahore to Kasur when the accident occurred. Authorities said both brothers died at the scene.

Motorcycle Reportedly Lost Control on Rain-Slick Road

According to a spokesperson for Lahore Traffic Police, the motorcycle became uncontrollable due to wet road conditions and struck the footpath.

Traffic police and Rescue teams responded to the scene immediately after receiving the emergency call. Initial findings indicate that the crash was caused by the motorcycle losing control during rainfall.

Traffic Police Urge Extra Caution During Rain

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi expressed sorrow over the deaths and urged motorists, particularly motorcycle riders, to exercise extra caution during rainy weather.

He advised riders to wear helmets at all times, maintain safe speeds, and avoid dangerous overtaking or overspeeding on slippery roads.

Lahore Traffic Police also appealed to the public to follow road safety guidelines and drive carefully during adverse weather conditions to help prevent accidents.
