Quetta bids farewell to martyred Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain

QUETTA: Funeral prayers were offered in Quetta for Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain, who embraced martyrdom during an operation in Balochistan while leading from the front, according to official statements.

The funeral ceremony was held at the headquarters of Frontier Corps Balochistan North and attended by senior military officials, political leaders and civil authorities, who paid tribute to the officer’s courage and service.

Officials said Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain displayed exceptional bravery during the operation in Balochistan before attaining martyrdom. Participants at the funeral described his sacrifice as a symbol of commitment to the country’s peace and stability.

The Pakistan Army announced that the martyred officer would be laid to rest in his native village with full military honours.

A large number of officials and mourners attended the ceremony in Quetta, reflecting the nation’s recognition of security personnel who lose their lives during operations against militancy and instability.

Military officials said the sacrifices of fallen soldiers would continue to be remembered as part of Pakistan’s ongoing security efforts in Balochistan and other sensitive regions.
