QAA-HEC holds KP universities’ progress review meeting at CECOS Peshawar

Mardan: The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) held a Progress Review Meeting of universities from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) region at CECOS University, Peshawar, on Tuesday.

The meeting was attended by vice chancellors of public and private sector universities across KP, along with directors of Quality Enhancement Cells (QECs), deans, and members of Internal Quality Circles (IQCs).

According to officials, the meeting aimed to review institutional progress, discuss quality assurance mechanisms, and examine academic and administrative standards within higher education institutions across the province.

Award ceremony held alongside QAA-HEC review session

On the occasion, the Higher Education Department (HED), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, organized an award distribution ceremony to recognize public sector universities for performance in quality assurance and institutional development.

AWKUM vice chancellor receives award shield

During the ceremony, the Secretary, Higher Education Department (HED), presented an award shield to Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmad, Vice Chancellor of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM), in recognition of the university’s performance in quality assurance.

Officials said the meeting reflected coordination among QAA, HEC, and the Higher Education Department on matters related to higher education oversight and institutional review in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
