The Punjab government has announced further relaxations in smog-related restrictions. Brick kilns operating on zigzag technology are now allowed to function, and both public and private offices can operate with full staff capacity. The notification was issued by DG Environment, Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh.
Construction activities have been permitted in Lahore and three other districts, including Gujranwala, Multan, and Faisalabad. However, the policy of closing shops, markets, and shopping malls by 8 PM remains unchanged.
Heavy traffic will be allowed to enter these districts from Monday to Thursday, while entry for heavy vehicles will be prohibited from Friday to Sunday.
