Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Public Agenda .An open court was held at Tehsil Complex Samar Bagh under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Lower Dir, Muhammad Arif Khan.
The open court was attended by District Police Officer Captain (R) Saleem Abbas Kalachi, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance and Planning) Gohar Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Relief and Human Rights) Tariq Hussain, Assistant Commissioner Samar Bagh Zeeshan Najeeb, Additional Assistant Commissioner Samar Bagh Muhammad Younas Khan, District Health Officer Dr. Muhammad Nisar, and heads of all departments.
Elders from the Samar Bagh subdivision, representatives of welfare organizations, social workers, and members of the public participated in the session.Some public issues were responded to on the spot by the heads of the concerned government departments.During the open court, the local elders raised issues related to health, education, water supply, drug abuse, shortage of teaching staff in educational institutions, filling vacant lecturer positions at Samar Bagh Postgraduate College, repairing dysfunctional tube wells, lack of facilities in Shahi Park, taking strict action against substandard food/papad, addressing long unannounced load-shedding, proper disposal of used medical equipment outside private hospitals, and staff deployment at Jandool Model College, among other public grievances.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted various tasks under the Chief Minister’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Agenda.The Deputy Commissioner stated that the purpose of the open court is to establish coordination between the people of remote areas and the heads of government departments and to provide them with an easy forum to resolve their issues. He emphasized the importance of public support in resolving several issues.During the open court, the Deputy Commissioner appealed to the community to fully cooperate with the health department teams during the polio campaign. He urged local elders to support the polio campaign, as public support is essential to make Lower Dir polio-free.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Arif Khan addressed public complaints related to the district administration in detail. He directed all departmental officials to ensure prompt action on public complaints raised during the open court.
The District Police Officer stated that all government offices are public offices. He urged citizens to report individuals involved in drug trafficking to the local police, assuring that the identity of informants would be kept confidential. He also emphasized the need for social boycotts of those involved in drug trafficking and highlighted efforts being made to improve traffic management. He encouraged local elders to play their role in eradicating crimes at the community level, affirming that the police are servants of the people.The local elders thanked the provincial government and district administration for organizing the open court in the Samar Bagh subdivision.
