Haleemzai, Mohmand: PTM workers and some local individuals allegedly created unrest in Mohmand district to prevent the arrest of alleged facilitators of khawarij by the CTD, police, and security forces.

According to details, police, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), and security forces conducted an operation in the village of Haleemzai Na Safi in Mohmand district based on confirmed intelligence to arrest a man identified as Ahmad Sher, son of Noor Sher, for allegedly facilitating khawarij.

During the arrest operation, associates of the suspect along with PTM workers allegedly began rioting with sticks and stones in an attempt to stop the arrest.

Police reinforcements arrived at the scene soon after receiving information about the incident and dispersed the protesters.

Under the National Action Plan and Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, the crackdown against khawarij and their facilitators is being intensified.

Officials said khawarij and their facilitators would not be spared under any circumstances and that operations would continue until their complete elimination.
