Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of the Provincial Assembly, Muhammad Azam Khan, has announced that February 8 will be observed as a “Black Day” in protest against the alleged theft of PTI’s mandate. He stated that a historic gathering will be held in Swabi, where thousands of workers from Lower Dir will participate in a massive rally. He also expressed confidence that Imran Khan will be released soon.He made these remarks while addressing a meeting of party workers at the office of Tehsil Chairman Balambat. Tehsil Chairman Balambat, Shakir Shoaib, was also present on the occasion. Muhammad Azam Khan said that on February 8, the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan had given PTI a massive mandate, but it was stolen through manipulation. In response, PTI, on the call of its leader Imran Khan, will hold a historic rally in Swabi to mark the “Black Day.” He added that millions of people will participate in the protest to send a strong message to the establishment that PTI has been subjected to injustice and that Imran Khan has been imprisoned unfairly.
He further stated that thousands of supporters from Lower Dir will participate under his leadership. He directed the workers to gather at the office of the Tehsil Chairman Balambat at 9 AM on February 8, from where they will leave in a grand convoy. He encouraged the workers not to lose hope, assuring them that Imran Khan will be released soon.
