Islamabad: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insf (PTI) Barrister Gohar said that his party is not here to take pictures on behalf of interviews unless the government is willing to form a commission. On Saturday, for the media outside the court’s premises, he revealed that the PTI gave the government seven days to announce whether the commission would be established. “The Commission was to decide to integrate the judge and the mandate (tors), but the inactivity of the government clearly suggests that they lack the intention to create them,” Gohar argued. Gohar expressed frustration from the “injustice” that PTI faced, and claimed that their mandate was stolen, and reminded cases of disproportionate legal steps against the party, including charges of terrorism against several lawyers. He highlighted how PTI under the leadership of the founder Imran Khan approached negotiations despite considerable reservations. “Our founder demanded negotiations on two requirements and showed great openness by establishing the first committee himself,” he said. He added, however, that the insufficient reaction of the government showed its unwillingness to engage in a meaningful dialogue. GoHar, however, emphasized the need for real negotiations and stressed that PTI wants constructive interviews with all political parties, but does not apply from its basic requirements. The party based in Imran Khan on Thursday “dismissed” the negotiation process with reference to the “non -coincidence” by the government and delay in the creation of the Court of Association for Investigation of Violent Protests of 9 May 2023 and repression against protesting parties in Islamabad. 26. November last year. A day later, the federal government of the Pakistani Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) said it was willing to continue the dialogue process, but would not go away to the former ruling party to continue the interviews.
