A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist has been detained for allegedly filming former prime minister Imran Khan during his transfer from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital back to Adiala Jail, according to local media reports.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday when Imran Khan was transported under security arrangements after receiving follow-up eye treatment at PIMS in Islamabad. He had been brought to the hospital for the second dose of an anti-VEGF intravitreal injection. The detention has drawn attention amid heightened political sensitivities surrounding the former premier’s legal and medical proceedings.

According to reports, the activist, identified as Haider Saeed, was taken into custody near Dahgal Naka and transported to a police checkpoint linked to Adiala. He had reportedly been recording video footage of Khan’s convoy as it departed from the hospital premises.

Authorities have not issued an official statement outlining the specific charges or legal grounds for the detention. Police have also not publicly confirmed whether any formal case has been registered.

Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated at Adiala Jail, was shifted to PIMS for scheduled medical treatment before being returned to custody. His movements were carried out under tight security.
