KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange ended Wednesday, September 30, 2026, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining 368 points to close at 169,969, while overall trading remained mixed.
Around 590 million shares changed hands during the session, with the value of traded shares reaching about Rs20 billion.
Market capitalisation increased by Rs37 billion to Rs18.927 trillion.
The latest session followed a volatile day on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, when the PSX reversed early gains and the KSE-100 Index slipped into the red during intraday trading.
On Tuesday, the benchmark initially climbed 385 points to 170,811 before selling pressure erased the advance. The index later fell 69 points to 170,355, marking a 454-point reversal from its intraday high.
Wednesday’s close at 169,969 therefore kept the benchmark below the levels seen during Tuesday’s early trading, even though the index finished the latest session in positive territory.
The market’s mixed performance reflected uneven investor sentiment, with buying in some sectors helping offset weakness elsewhere.
