KARACHI, November 6, 2026: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) ended Friday’s session in negative territory, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index falling 1,493 points to close at 173,886, partially reversing the previous day’s sharp rally.

The index declined approximately 0.85% from Thursday’s closing level of 175,379.87, as the market surrendered some of its recent gains.

The decline came a day after the benchmark index surged 3,366 points on November 5, climbing 1.96% to close above the 175,000-point mark amid broad-based buying.

Despite Friday’s losses, the KSE-100 remained above Wednesday’s closing level of 172,013.48, retaining part of the gains recorded during Thursday’s rally.

Trading activity remained substantial, with approximately 1.47 billion shares changing hands during Friday’s session. The reported value of shares traded stood at Rs22.5 billion.

Meanwhile, total market capitalisation declined by Rs203 billion to Rs18.909 trillion, compared with Rs19.113 trillion in the previous session.

Thursday’s rally had lifted market capitalisation by approximately Rs336 billion, supported by widespread gains across listed companies.

Friday’s downturn erased approximately 44% of Thursday’s index-point advance, reflecting a reversal in the benchmark’s short-term performance.
