ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, September 22, 2026: Pakistan Single Window (PSW) users can now complete mandatory biometric verification remotely through their smartphones after the trade platform integrated its services with the National Database and Registration Authority’s (NADRA) PakID Mobile App.
The new facility removes the requirement for users to physically visit a NADRA e-Sahulat Centre to complete biometric verification for PSW subscription, subscription renewal and profile updates, subject to applicable NADRA verification requirements.
The integration is expected to particularly benefit overseas Pakistanis involved in trade-related activities in Pakistan, allowing eligible users abroad to complete their PSW biometric verification remotely through the PakID app.
Previously, biometric verification was the only part of the PSW subscription process that required users to make a physical visit.
With the latest integration, the entire subscription process can now be completed digitally for users who meet NADRA’s remote verification requirements.
PSW said both digital and physical verification channels would remain available during an interim period to ensure a smooth transition for businesses.
Users will therefore have the option to complete biometric verification through the PakID Mobile App or continue visiting NADRA e-Sahulat Centres during the transition.
“The integration with NADRA’s PakID Mobile App reflects our commitment to listening to the PSW community both in Pakistan and overseas and responding to their needs,” PSW Chief Executive Officer Syed Aftab Haider said.
He said remote verification would eliminate another physical trip from the onboarding process and make PSW services more convenient and accessible.
The development is aimed at simplifying access to Pakistan’s digital trade ecosystem for businesses, traders and overseas Pakistanis by reducing paperwork and in-person requirements.
Pakistan Single Window provides a digital platform designed to allow parties involved in trade and transport to submit information and documents required for imports, exports and transit trade through a single electronic entry point.
The integration with PakID represents another step towards shifting trade-related regulatory processes online, potentially reducing the time and logistical burden associated with registration and account management for PSW users.
For overseas Pakistanis engaged in businesses connected with Pakistan, remote biometric verification could be particularly useful by removing the need to be physically present in the country solely to complete this part of the PSW process.
