ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) has successfully implemented and operationalized key modules of its SAP system, completing the process in what the authority described as a record timeframe.
The initiative is aimed at digitizing PSQCA’s financial and administrative processes and improving transparency, efficiency and accountability across the organization.
The implementation was carried out by the PSQCA SAP Team under the leadership of Director General Dr. Sayeda Zia Batool and Deputy Director General (Finance) Taufique Ali Abbasi.
According to PSQCA, the initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of promoting transparency through the adoption and effective use of SAP-based systems across public-sector organizations.
The authority is also pursuing the digital transformation of its financial management system through the extended implementation of SAP ERP and Raast-based payments, in line with the government’s cashless and Digital Pakistan initiatives.
As part of the next phase, PSQCA has inaugurated a dedicated SAP Office at its premises. The office will provide a permanent institutional platform for the implementation of additional SAP modules, system enhancements, user support, training and continuous monitoring.
PSQCA said the dedicated office is intended to ensure that the initial SAP implementation develops into a sustainable, long-term digital transformation programme across the authority.
Dr. Sayeda Zia Batool appreciated the SAP team and officers involved in the initiative and encouraged continued efforts to stabilize, optimize and further expand SAP ERP across PSQCA.
