PSL 2026 points table update: Islamabad United move to second after win over Rawalpindiz

Lahore: Islamabad United beat Rawalpindiz by seven wickets in Match 12 of PSL 2026, completing a comfortable chase and moving up to second place on the PSL 2026 points table.

Rawalpindiz scored 156/7 in their 20 overs at Gaddafi Stadium, with Kamran Ghulam making 50 and Dian Forrester adding 44. Islamabad’s bowlers shared the wickets, as Richard Gleeson, Faheem Ashraf and Salman Irshad picked up two each, while Imad Wasim bowled an economical spell.

In reply, Islamabad United chased down the target in 14.2 overs. Sameer Minhas led the innings with 70 off 36 balls, registering back-to-back fifties. Mark Chapman scored 24 off seven balls, while Haider Ali added 26, helping seal the win with 34 balls remaining. Minhas was named player of the match.

PSL 2026 points table after IU vs Rawalpindiz

With this result, Islamabad United moved to second place with five points and a strong net run rate. Rawalpindiz remained seventh on the table, still without a win in the tournament.
