Swabi: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Provincial Minister for Labor, Fazal Shakur, stated that the provincial government is taking practical steps for the welfare of workers. Through the Employees Social Security Institution (ESSI), workers’ children are being provided with education, health, scholarships, dowry support, pensions, and grants in case of injury or death.
The minister made these remarks while addressing a ceremony organized by Water Tech Pipes and Fittings Private Limited in Swabi. During the event, kits, bags, heaters, and cutters were distributed to 600 plumbers, and top-performing dealers were awarded certificates.
Fazal Shakur emphasized the importance of registering workers with ESSI to ensure they receive these benefits. He also praised the industrial estate in Swabi for employing thousands of workers and skilled laborers, contributing to the provincial economy.
