Mirpur: The people of Kashmir marked January 13 as Black Day to protest Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. A massive protest rally was organized in Mirpur, starting from the District Courts and concluding at Shaheedan Chowk.
The rally saw participation from a wide spectrum of society, including district officials, political and social organization representatives, members of the business community, lawyers, students, and citizens from diverse backgrounds.
Participants carried banners and placards bearing slogans condemning Indian aggression and the ongoing human rights violations in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The crowd vocally protested against Narendra Modi and the Indian government while affirming their unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
Protesters voiced their determination to continue their struggle for freedom despite the oppressive measures implemented by the Indian government.
During the rally, speakers criticized Narendra Modi’s visit to Occupied Kashmir, labeling it a failed attempt to deceive the global community regarding the real situation in the region. They urged the United Nations and international human rights organizations to take immediate action against Indian atrocities and advocate for the Kashmiri people’s inalienable right to self-determination.
The event concluded with a collective pledge by the participants to persist in their fight for complete freedom from Indian occupation, emphasizing that no oppressive tactics could deter their quest for liberation.
