MARDAN: Educationists have stressed the need for quality education, character building and modern technological skills to prepare young people for the challenges of the future.
Speaking to the media during a meeting at the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mardan, Syed Nadeem Shah, Principal of Iqra School & College on Katlang Road and a member of the BISE Mardan Board of Governors, and Tufail Ahmad Mayar, Principal of The Mayar Model School, Mayar, and also a member of the Board of Governors, highlighted the role of private educational institutions in improving educational standards.
The educationists said private schools and colleges were providing students with modern educational facilities while also contributing to their moral, intellectual and personal development.
They emphasized that educational institutions should look beyond academic performance and focus on identifying and nurturing students’ abilities, critical thinking, creativity and research skills.
According to them, stronger cooperation among teachers, parents and students can help further improve the quality of education and create a more supportive learning environment.
The educationists also pointed to the rapid development of artificial intelligence, digital technology and other modern educational tools, saying these changes were transforming the skills required by students.
They stressed that students should receive quality academic education alongside technological skills, strong moral values and responsible use of digital tools.
Syed Nadeem Shah and Tufail Ahmad Mayar said preparing the younger generation for the future required a balanced approach combining modern education, character building, creativity, critical thinking and technological awareness.
They reaffirmed their commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at promoting quality education and developing a responsible, skilled and technologically equipped generation capable of making a positive contribution to society.
