LOWER DIR, September 22, 2026: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Malakand has announced the results of the Intermediate Annual Examination 2026, with students from private educational institutions securing 10 of the 12 top positions across different groups.
Diya Iman, daughter of Muhammad Diyar and a student of Islamia Model College, Timergara, secured the overall first position with 1,133 marks. Yamuna Malik of Genius Model College stood second with 1,132 marks, while Salvi Iqbal of Islamia Model College, Timergara, secured third position with 1,118 marks.
The results were announced during an annual prize distribution ceremony organized by BISE Malakand at the Convention Hall of the University of Malakand.
Top Positions Across Different Groups
In the Pre-Engineering Group, Lubna Bibi of Islamia College Jandul Sadbar Kalay secured first position with 1,072 marks. Zeenat Bakht, from the same institution, stood second with 1,061 marks, while Mafada Bibi of The Arbit School and College, Sakhakot, secured third position with 1,030 marks.
In the Arts Group, Javeria Bibi of Jamiat-ul-Muhasnat Sangolai secured first position with 1,114 marks. Hina Shahzad of the same institution stood second with 1,109 marks, while Haseena Bibi, daughter of Ibrahim, secured third position with 1,107 marks.
In the General Science Group, Shahab Sardar of Islamia Model College, Timergara, secured first position with 1,076 marks. Maimuna Moon of Edward Model College, Timergara, came second with 1,074 marks, while Hamadullah of Dreams College, Timergara, secured third position with 1,061 marks.
More Than 75,000 Students Appeared
According to BISE Malakand Controller of Examinations Professor Hafiz Ayaz Ahmed, a total of 75,018 candidates appeared in the Intermediate Part-I and Part-II examinations.
Of these, 60,092 candidates were declared successful.
The overall success rate for Part-I was 81.2 percent, while the success rate for Part-II stood at 79.02 percent.
Position Holders Receive Awards
BISE Malakand Chairman Kaleemullah, Secretary Professor Ghulam Zahid Jan, Controller of Examinations Professor Hafiz Ayaz Ahmed, University of Malakand Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mir Azam Khan and Deputy Secretary Primary and Secondary Education Hafiz Hafizullah attended the prize distribution ceremony.
The officials presented shields, certificates of distinction and cash prizes to students who secured top positions in the examination.
