Abu Dhabi: Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday met Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, as the two leaders reviewed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting, held during President Zardari’s official visit to the UAE, focused on expanding cooperation across trade, investment, energy, infrastructure, technology, and people-to-people exchanges. Both sides emphasized the importance of deepening economic and strategic ties amid evolving regional and global challenges.

According to officials, the leaders reviewed the full spectrum of Pakistan-UAE relations and discussed practical steps to unlock new opportunities for collaboration, particularly in sectors with high growth potential. President Zardari underscored the significance of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s recent visit to Pakistan and expressed appreciation for the UAE’s continued support in strengthening bilateral engagement.
The two presidents also exchanged views on regional and international developments, reaffirming their shared commitment to peace, stability, and sustainable development.
President Zardari’s visit was described by officials as a reaffirmation of the longstanding friendship and strategic partnership between Pakistan and the UAE.
The meeting was attended by First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and Pakistan’s ambassador to the UAE.
